I’m doing a remodel and installed a new shower surround. It is made of fiberglass reinforced acrylic. While I was installing the drain and vent stack a little PVC primer\cleaner splashed on the tub. I did not notice at the time and the primer melted several little holes in the acrylic. To make it worse I was using ABS primer and it turned the little holes black on a white tub. The holes aren’t huge maybe 1\64 of an inch deep and 1\16 around but they cover an area of about a square foot. The tub is a Kohler sonata and the holes are right on the front at eye level. I need an invisible fix, maybe where I could buy a repair kit or some old plumbers trick

I want very authentic, solid, furniture quality cabinetry. Not the prefab stuff that they sell here that we all have. I know they have some beautiful artisans there, but I don’t know where to start. Also, do you have advice for buying in Mexico? Would I need to get some kind of customs permit to bring cabinets to AZ?

I have a small L shaped wall 17″deep by 3′ wide. I don’t want to waste any space, so I have had several ideas, a wall of cabinets seems to “busy”, and if I just install a working countertop with cone lights overhead you would be working looking at a wall. I thought about asking the cabinet maker to put good locking wheels and 3 cabinets underneath, and then we could roll it into the center of the kitchen for serving or working and then lock it back against the wall when not in use. As I am typing I am also considering the wear and tear on the wall……. I have never heard of this done. any ideas?

My kitchen is 25 years old. If I can only replace one thing per month, should I begin with an energy star refrigerator? Do you replace the floor before or after the refrigerator? Would the dishwasher be the next appliance in order of energy savings? Or the lighting? And then the stove? Would the cabinet work be done before or after the lighting? Should I prioritize aquiring an energy efficient washer & dryer? My intent is to save energy and improve safety (the stove) and have peace of mind about the appearance of the kitchen.
Thank you all for your answers. Earthwoman, thanks for mentioning possible wiring upgrade and drain replacement. Since this will be a LOW budget project, I like the idea of asking the store to help with a plan, too. Each of you have helped me.
