Why do my granite countertops always feel dirty?

I have granite countertops in my kitchen and even though I wipe them down or clean them with cleaners… they always feel like they have crumbs on them… and sometimes there are actual crumbs still left. I can put my hand down on the counter and see the crumbs that stick to my hand. Why don’t they come off when wiping them down? Is this a normal problem?
