What kind of caulk would you use on a bath tub?

We remodeled our bathroom when we bought this place and put in a new bath tub but the caulk we used was worthless and it was actually liquid nails and it peeled right off, we bought the kind for the bathroom and it I have no idea what to use now.

Silicone based

I recaulked our walk-in shower last fall with mildew resistant acrylic bathtub caulk. I picked the most expensive stuff on the shelf at Lowe’s. It has worked great.
I’m not a fan of straight silicon caulk at all - I have never been able to get a surface clean enough that it maintains a seal.

First of all you must make sure that the surface is clean. Take some cleaner wipe down the whole surface you are trying to caulk. Give plenty of time to dry. The next thing is to get some silicone based bathroom caulk. Dap makes some that you only have to wait 3 hours before showering. Silicone sticks to almost anything. Good luck

DAP makes a silicone caulk that has always served me well. Depending on the size of the job, it even comes in a squeeze out container to avoid the mess of a caulking gun.

Tub and tile caulk should work. Use alchohol swabs to clean the tub where caulk will be applied. Prep work is the most important part. Read the caulk label before applying.

sillicone or anything water proof and mildew resistant.
